Dr. Matthew White Comments on New Non-Surgical Ultrasound Face-Lifting Technology
NYU Langone Medical Center's Trinity faculty practice office in New York City is offering a new, non-surgical ultrasound face-lifting technology called the Ulthera® System (Ulthera, Inc., Mesa, AZ). "Most of the current laser and energy delivery devices have been focused on treating only the superficial skin layer," says Matthew White, MD, assistant professor at NYU Langone Medical Center who practices at the NYU Trinity Center. This new technology allows us to precisely focus in on the deep SMAS layer - the collagen-filled connective tissue layer -- that surgeons pull tighter when performing a facelift. This deep-plane treatment results in an unprecedented lifting of face and neck skin."
