Residents Take First and Third Places in Research Day Symposium

Department of Otolaryngology represenatives to the 4th Annual Metropolitan New York Resident Research Day Symposium, Judy Lee, MD and Daniel Jethanamest, MD, did a wonderful job this year. Dr. Lee's presentation, entitled Radiation-Induced Fibrosis: A Rationale for Smad3 Inhibition won the first place award, and Dr. Jethanamest's, which was entitled A New Software Tool to Optimize Frequency Map Selection for Cochlear Implants, won third place.
This year's event was hosted by the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and sponsored by the Departments of Otolaryngology of Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons/Weill Cornell Medical College, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary/New York Medical College, New York University School of Medicine, State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center, State University of New York - Stony Brook, The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
