Lectureship Fund

The Department of Otolaryngology has three annual lectureships that serve to honor the contributions of the individual for who the lectureship is named: Kelvin C. Lee, MD Memorial Lectureship; H. K. Chandra Sekhar Lectureship; and, Daly Day Visiting Professorship. Your contribution will honor these individuals and help sustain these lectureships.

NYU Cochlear Implant Center

The NYU Cochlear Implant Center is an NYU Center of Excellence and one of the largest and most highly respected clinical and research implant centers in the world. The Center has performed over 1,700 implants on children and adults of all ages. Additional services at the Center include bone-anchored hearing aids for unilateral deafness and auditory brainstem implants for patients lacking an auditory nerve. Funding for the Center is supplemented each year by our annual Gala for Hearing Health.

NYU Voice Center

The NYU Voice Center offers a broad scope of clinical services both to professional voice users, such as lawyers and singers, and to people with medical issues of the throat and esophagus.

Center for Hearing Health

Reflecting NYU Langone Medical Center’s strength in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing disorders, the Center for Hearing Health coordinates the expertise of a number of disciplines. Patients diagnosed with hearing loss, tinnitus, and other hearing disorders are provided with state-of-the-art medical devices, as well as interventions and therapies in partnership with experts in speech pathology, rehabilitation services and other disciplines.

Resident Education Fund

A critical mission of the Department of Otolaryngology is to provide the best training for the future generations of academicians and leaders in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Your support will aid in enhancing resident education by providing funding for: procuring scholastic publications for the departmental library; travel for residents to academic meetings; making available necessary technological tools; clinical and basic research conducted by residents.

William I. Spencer Fund for Head and Neck Cancer

Spearheaded by Susan Spencer in memory of her husband, this initiative is committed to improving diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancer. It focuses on improving care at the bedside, as well as funding research in the laboratory to find the cure for head and neck cancer.
